Welcome to a new year!! I’m so glad to finally be posting on the blog again – I’ll share later what happened that completely tore the rug out from under me and it all happened through this blog.
But for now….I’m so proud to share my January post for the Elevate: Fine Art Photography group circle.
I ran into my friend Liz Kartchner last week and she let me have a few minutes (she and her husband Collin were busy filming her own project) to shoot her for this post. I used exclusively a Holga lens that has been modded to fit my Canon DSLR. Mine I bought through the website www.holgamods.com where the whole thing was assembled with superglue, but it looks like it’s available through bigger suppliers now.
It’s a tricky lens. Aside from the obvious Holga-ness about it, getting close to a subject and getting the focus “right” is trick as well as exposure and the blur factor. However it gives freely this BEAUTIFUL ethereal quality and a organic feel to it’s photos.
Anyway – without going on and on here are the photos of Liz.
Thanks for looking! Be sure to hop on over to GINA OH’s AMAZING BLOG…
