So.. I was surfing the blogosphere and came across your site. I recognized you from my daughter's preschool and wanted to say "Hi", and I think your style is incredible, unique and I have never seen anything like it--way to be original- it's so refreshing. Next time I pass you I'll be sure to say hello.

oh - we actually keep them and raise them. We only keep a few and kind of make them our 'pets'.

but if you find a farm or someone who raises hens nearby you, you might be able to raise them as chicks and then pass them over or sell them when the get a little bigger - like pullets. They're darling as chicks and we've really found that you can raise one or two much like you can a rabbit, they don't take up much space and you can keep them in not too big coop or cage - you can find out more at http://www.backyardchickens.com - while they're tiny like this they just stay inside anyway.

Chick days are usually in march and april and you can find them at most farm and feed stores or order them online. HAVE fun! they're so much fun.

What do you do with them when you are done? I know that sounds strange but, do you raise them into full grown chickens? Cause my kids would love them but I do not want chickens running around. Great pic's by the way. so fun.
