new business card

My friend Dan Gneiding over at http://grayhood.com/ helped me get the new card up and going. He’s an amazing graphics person and does lots of work for Anthropologie (did their main logo – I smile whenever I get the catalog in the mail) and Urban Outfitters. He also did the sewn logo at the top of this blog. He was AMAZING to work with and I just can’t rave about him enough…

here’s the card – the logo is stamped on muslin and then it and the photo is sewn onto the tag card itself. I can hang it from bags and packaging. This tag is about 4 3/4″ x 2 1/3″ and there’s also a smaller one for easier passing out and wallet carrying.

my main thins was I wanted something super duper flexible. I get bored so fast of one thing that I wanted to be able to mix it up a bit. I can stamp/sew/etc on muslin bags for packaging and on CDs for my logo. I can stamp on metal or wood and make wooden cards if I wanted. I plan on trying this with a custom die and the letterpress from Lifestyle Crafts . And buttons. Star buttons. And maybe use some glassine. The sky’s the limit on them. I love them so!
